The Global Learning Observatory on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education (Globe.GenAI) emerged from a shared vision among researchers and educators worldwide who recognized the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on education. As AI technologies began to rapidly reshape teaching and learning processes, the need for a collaborative, global, and evidence-based initiative became increasingly evident.
The Global Learning Observatory on Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education (Globe.GenAI) emerged from a shared vision among researchers and educators worldwide who recognized the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence on education. As AI technologies began to rapidly reshape teaching and learning processes, the need for a collaborative, global, and evidence-based initiative became increasingly evident.
The initiative originated from a small group of committed academics seeking to understand the rapidly evolving impact of Generative AI on education. Its foundation was the research project developed and approved as part of the Naveen Jindal Young Global Research Fellowship at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), India.
United by a shared purpose, Globe.GenAI seeks to advance a global understanding of how Generative AI is being used in higher education and to explore how these technologies can be adopted responsibly, ethically, and effectively to enhance learning and contribute to more inclusive and equitable educational systems.

Today, GLOBE-GenAI has established itself as a growing global community dedicated to advancing research, dialogue, and innovation at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Education.
